When we first purchased this property from the original owner the home was structurally in great condition, all it really needed was a little updating and a lot of love.

This newly renovated kitchen comes equipped with new stainless steel appliances and walnut cabinets, giving it a more modern feel. 

A small dinning nook with lots of natural light was an extra bonus for this modestly sized home-after.

1450 McClelland

                                     This was a small remodel we did two summers ago. the original house was in good shape it just needed a little bit of love. 

                                      

  

The original structure contained a small addition in the rear that housed a small closet off the back bedroom. 

We decided that the space would be better utilized as a step down master bath.

The original kitchen was somewhat roomy, it just needed a new look.  We are beginning to realize that red painted walls were a popular theme throughout some of these older homes, yikes.

The 9th and 9th Project

Located in the fabulous 9th and 9th area of Salt Lake, this little one bedroom shack is all that existed on the lot when we first purchased it.  Unfortunately, the home was in need of great repair and the foundation was severely flawed so as a result this little home had to go.

The back of the house consisted of a make shift addition that was poorly built. 

Our final resolution to a home that was once lost.

A welded steel and wood staircase was incorporated into the entry way design.

The new vaulted ceiling not only allowed us to create a illusion of space but also made an open floor plan between the kitchen, dinning and living possible.

Sherman Ave.

This early 1920's dwelling located in the charming 9th and 9th area of Salt Lake was one of our first design/build projects.  Years of neglect to the exisiting home along with the restrictive size of the lot made this project a unique challenge.  

In order to preserve the charm of this older structure we decided to keep the existing framing and gain square footage by adding an upper and main floor addition along with ample basement space.  This was accomplished by excavating and re-pouring a completely new foundation and footings while still supporting the existing structure.
